Announcements

End of Season Bash Our now infamous, end of season bash is nearly upon us! The date has been set for Friday 3rd May, to be held at The Grainstore Brewery. As last year, the ticket price will be £10 per person, and this includes your first drink and a buffet meal. Please feel free to bring along your other halves, or, for those that don’t have other halves, some random waif and stray off the street!

Please let Sian or Peter know if you are coming, how many are in your party and hand over the cash, so that we may let the guys and gals at The Grainstore know our numbers in advance.

Most of all have some fun!

AGM and Presentations – The date for our AGM has been set as Tuesday 14th May. To be held at Don Paddys, in the market place, Uppingham at 7.30pm. It is really important  for everyone to attend if possible, as it is the ideal time for everyone to have their say in the running of your club. Election of officers will also take place on the evening, as by tradition, the entire committee will stand down. If you have any items that you would like to see discussed, please email them to Peter at  fixtures@uppinghamhillbadminton.co.uk/site  so that we can add them to the Agenda.

Trophy presentations will also take place for the Tournament winners.

As an added incentive, and just to make the evening go with a swing, Don Paddys will be laying on some food for us too. Nothing beats a bit of FREE grub!

Please also email Peter at  fixtures@uppinghamhillbadminton.co.uk/site  if you are unable to attend, so that we may add your name to the apologies!

Traditionally we also present awards in the following catagories: Players player of the Year and Most Improved Player of the Year. Your nominations will soon be required in the first catagory, Players player of the Year. A member of the committee will shortly be canvassing your opinion in the strictest of confidence using the ‘good old fashioned’ method of sticking a bit of paper into a box!

Any questions please feel free to ask any member of the committee.
