Key Points from The 2012 AGM
Financially the club is healthy and as a result all fees are held for 2012/13:
- £50 per half year
- £85 full year if paid in advance
- Match fees £5
- Visitor fees £5 with 1st visit free
Dates for next season:
- 4th September – 18th December
- 8th January – 30th April
All 4 current teams would continue with enquiries to H&P league for Ladies 4’s:
- R&S Mixed – Div 1
- M&D Mixed – Div 1
- R&S Men
- H&P Men – Div 3
Club Night
- Thursday’s would be booked to accommodate matches so that disruption to club night is reduced
- Peg board system to continue from 19:15 – 21:00, games made up of 4 from the 1st available 6
- From 21:00 to 21:45 team captains can organise match practice
- Match practice only ahead of confirmed fixtures in the next week
- Captains to be sensitive to other players and to rotate pairs and be more experimental in their preparation of matches
Etiquette is generally not an issue, however a reminder was given to ensure:
- Visitors and opposing teams always receive a warm welcome
- The peg board is explained to visitors and a visitor peg issued
- Shake hands at the end of each game
- Be aware of on going play particularly if you walk behind a court
- Look after the shuttle and do not slide under the net after a point
- Take away damaged shuttles from the court-side after your game
A club tournament will be arranged for this season and this will be handicapped and take place on a yet to be decided club night
